New for 2009 is Schecter's RIOT series, taking the popular Stiletto body shape, tweaking it just so, and dressing it up in beautiful natural finishes. The RIOT-4 features neck-thru construction for endless sustain and a swamp ash body for brilliant resonance and definition. Dial in your tone with the EMG-35HZ pickups and Active 2-band EQ (complete with selectable frequencies). Solid Schecter hardware completes the package. Swamp Ash Body With Solid Burl Maple Top
The RIOT-4's Swamp Ash body gives you an extra-resonant tone with crystal-clear highs, well-defined mids, and powerful lows. The burl maple top is beautifully textured (hence the natural finish), and compresses that tone just a bit. Extra smoothness and sustain is imparted by the neck-thru-body design.

The RIOT-4's neck is a multi-laminate maple and walnut, 34-inch scale neck with a rosewood fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets. The "Ultra Access" design means you can actually reach those last few notes if you need them.

EMG-35HZ Pickups
The EMG-35HZ is a passive model with a dual-coil design for low noise and plenty of output. Using EMG's "CS" design (Ceramic and Steel), the pickup's tone is much warmer as a result of the higher inductance of the steel, and thus has a smoother attack and a flatter high end. From classic rock to heavy metal, this pickup performs.

Use the EMG Active 2-band EQ with selectable frequencies and blend between the neck and bridge pickup for further versatility, and dial in your tone just right for any application.

Black Chrome Hardware
The black chrome hardware completes the RIOT-4 package, with Schecter tuners, pots, and a custom string-thru-body bridge.

Graph Tech "Tusq" Nut
The precision Tusq nut is made with Graph Tech's "man made ivory," which couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and is impregnated with Teflon to improve the tuning performance of your guitar. Play as hard as you want and stay in tune. The highly resonant material also means you'll get more richness and harmonics from every note.
