Now this 5-string bass is becoming a choice for players making their own names. The Flea FB5 has a uniquely shaped double-cutaway alder body. Space Age carbon fiber neck has a compound-radius composite fingerboard, pearl dot top position markers, and bidirectional relief adjusting rod. The Basslines MM pickup is controlled by a Bartolini active tone system with master volume and 2-band EQ. Modulus Guitars includes a hardshell case with the Flea FB5.The Modulus Quantum bass neck featured on the FB5 basses is a lightweight, ultra-rigid D-shaped shell made from dozens of layers of hand-formed, aerospace-grade, epoxy-impregnated carbon fibers. Its miraculous strength-to-weight ratio and extreme resonant peak make it ideal for producing unclouded, even tone. Because carbon fiber telegraphs attack more quickly than conventional wood necks, it also aids articulation and clearly pronounces attack dynamics. A non-structural relief adjusting system adjusts in both directions, allowing for underbow and overbow. Each note produced is full, with abundant low and high harmonics.
